“Blue Moon, you left me standing alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own”- this song was written by Rodgers and Hart- dynamic song writing duo. They wrote it in 1934.
You may ask why I have that song in my head today. It’s because today is a blue moon day. When a month has two full moons, the second one is called a blue moon. Thus the saying, “once in a blue moon.” It’s rare- happens once every two or so years. Except this time around, the last one was December of 2009, so not quite a year.
I’ll be taking an early morning drive in the morning (pre-dawn) so this moon will help light my way. I love moon lore. Such fun!
