I admit that it took me a some time before I not only realized the horrors that generally led girls into that life, and even longer to consider that there were good women who became madams, as well. I have heard and read many tales of how much influence and charity work was done by them, especially in frontier towns where they were the first businesswomen and often, the first women to arrive at all.
Yes, Miss Molly will be in my NaNo book. I love how people leave this little gifts on her tombstone to be lucky in love. We have our tradition of those gifts here like New Orleans has Marie Laveau (who was in my last NaNo book!).

yes, exactly. In the days where women weren’t educated this was sometimes the only way they had to feed themselves. Sad.
