Who Doesn’t Love the Underdog?

I’d like to start of this post by saying thank you to Jillian for hosting me. Today I’m going to be talking about my newest release, Cinnamon and Spice.
This contemporary romance short story has a hero very dear to my heart. Jack, you see, is an underdog. He’s a bit of a nerd, one of those quiet guys who rarely gets the girl they want.
I’ve known guys like this. I’ve been friends with them, and yes, I’ve dated them. Personally, I’ve always hated to see these guys finish last. I’m sure you know one or two of the sort of guys I’m talking about. A little nerdy, a lot shy, and just never seem to be in the right place at the right time to be lucky in love.
Well, Jack is like this. He’s had his eye on Melissa for months. As they work in the same office building, he’s had the time to get to know her…as least as well as she’s let him. He’s asked her out before, but she’s always turned him down. Because in her mind, he just isn’t her type.
Well, I certainly took a lot of pleasure in writing Cinnamon and Spice, and in proving to her that Jack is, in fact, just about perfect for her. You know that saying, nice guys finish last? In this case, at least, he managed to finish first.

Fantastic cover! Very schexy, rar. I love heroes like this because like you said, we all know a guy like this. We see them for the wonderful people they are and it always breaks my heart when they can’t get the girl they want. I’m putting this on my TBR pile beucase I want to see the nice guy win!
