Silken Sands Writer’s Conference -Call For Workshop Presenters

I’m the conference chair for the Silken Sands Writer’s Conference sponsored by The Gulf Coast Chapter RWA set for Pensacola Beach on March 16-18, 2012. I’m on a quest for some awesome workshop presenters.  Please pass this around to all the groups you belong to so we can have a fantastic conference.  We have Amanda Bergeron from Harper Collins/Avon, Angela James from Carina Press, Holly Blanck from St. Martin’s Press and Cari Foulk from The Tribe Literary Agency taking pitches.  Thanks for passing on this request.  I hope you’ll join us.

**Permission to forward granted and encouraged. Thank you!**

  1. I’d love to do a workshop, but would have no clue what to do one on since I’m not an expert at anything, LOL. Good luck filling the spots!

    • you crack me up- you’re a Cajun language expert

  2. Wow, nice pitch lineup. This should be a great conference. I’ve yet to start travelling to different conferences. NY this month will be my first time. I’ve only ever been to my local Seattle ECWC conference, another really good one.

Conference chair, eh? You didn’t have enough on your plate already? 🙂 Kudos to you for taking on the volunteer project.

    • Laurie – I was kind of coerced into being chair by a group of members that said they’d help me but I have done most of it with just the help of prior conference chairs. And yeah, it kind of made me resentful. Lol.

I’m proud of the line up I was able to get. Going to try to get one more agent.

Can’t wait to meet you in New York.

  3. I hope to attend this one year. Maybe I’ll have something to present some day. LOL. I don’t even speak Cajun. 🙂

    • LOL! Ciara about the Cajun!! Come down to Pensacola- we’re in driving diatance for you, right?

  4. That conference sounds awesome. 🙂

    • thanks Lynn. I hope so since I’ll be the goat if it bombs
