Here’s the photos of the different terrains that the hikers in my family hit last week. They hiked on trail and off trail. Some pavement, some gravel, some cobble stones, some boulders and some grass and dirt. They hiked from 3300 feet to 800 feet. Straight down. Toes were hammered. Pain was present. They soldiered on.

Yep. I knew I’d recognize those feet. Painful is right. Good for them persevering, though. That’s quite an elevation drop.
