Happy Fourth of July- Blog Hop

Happy Birthday to the US of A.  I love this place we call home. It's a great country and the freedoms we have here are the best on the planet.  I've been a world traveler since I was a kid and I can tell you, we really do have it good here. I hope you all have a wonderful day no matter what your plans.

To add to the fun, one lucky commenter will win a copy of either of my books that are out now. Solo Honeymoon or Surfer Bride.  Leave me a comment about your favorite July Fourth holiday tradition for a chance to win- also tell me which book you’d prefer if you win. You can check out the book trailers on each on this website under that tab.

Happy Fourth of July, Jillian! The fireworks are going off all around us as I type this. And Dude, our cat, has his head tucked under my chin, which makes typing a challenge. He’s not really afraid, I think, but he does get a bit more clingy. Tomorrow night, we will keep him indoors, I think. It will be loud. 🙂

Happy fourth to you and your family, too Laurie AND to Dude, poor baby! Typing with a cat under your chin must be fun and look even funnier. Great photo opportunity. LOL!

Fireworks here too. We’ve never been much for them except in displays. Today is a quiet one. The kids were over for dinner yesterday and we even did some haying. The field next door was being cut. So convenient. We got 40 bales which will do it for the year. I remember when we used to take a couple days to bring in hay and later had it delivered by the semi load.

Abby hates the fireworks and is spending her time in the house.

Lavada- when my father in law was alive, he owned a fireworks stand – the grnadkids always worked in it for extra money (not mine since we lived 2 hours away) but now it’s pretty quiet. I’m pooped today so it’ll be really quiet. Glad the haying was productive and you had the family over.

Thanks for the giveaway, I’d love Solo Honeymoon.
I don’t have any July Fourth traditions (what with not being American) but it always seems like a fun holiday, especially all the fireworks.

Great giveaway thank you. I would love to read ‘Solo Honeymoon’ thank you. Fireworks are not kind to pets at all. Fun for humans to watch though.

Hi Jillian! The last few years, we head to the in-laws for the 4th. And the sister-in-law usually has a picnic And we usually watch the fireworks out there. But this year since they were doing the fireworks Monday night and it is a 4 hour drive home, we didn’t see them this year. We made up for it by stopping at the ice cream shoppe just about every day.
