So, I went to see another movie this weekend. This is one I’ve long been aticipating since it has some of my favorite actors as well as it’s a remake of a series I saw back in the day and I also read the book back in the dark ages of my life. It’s John Le’Carre’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. It came out in England early in November and #1 son saw it then. He tortured me several times by letting me know he’d seen it and I hadn’t. Brat.
I liked it although I felt the pacing was quite slow. I like movies to move faster than this one did. It was a great story and well done atmospherically, but I think it could’ve been better with a faster pace.
It has Gary Oldman, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Ciaran Hinds, Benedict Cumberbatch (and if you haven’t seen him in Sherlock, you’re missing out), John Hurt and Tom Hardy. A wonderful cast Just spectacular. Here’s the book trailer:
Huh…I’ve never heard of it. This might be one of those movies I catch on a Sunday afternoon when football season is over *grin*

Hmmm. This probably isn’t my cup of tea, but my husband might enjoy it. So…did you figure out who the mole was before the movie ended?

I had an idea, but the ending is ambiguous. You don’t realize it’s ambiguous til you leave the theatre, either. The one I thought was it, was but then again, maybe not!!

I watched Larry Crowne. Like the one you watched it was a little slow. One thing about movies this time of year is that there is nothing new on TV. Mostly reruns.

I know what you mean about re-runs, I think they do it because of bowl games, etc take away the viewers. I love to go to movies and hadn’t been in months as nothing was out I wanted to see, but it seems like a lot are hitting now.
