This was in a church? It doesn’t look very deity-like. More like the plasterer did a self-portrait? No insult meant, It’s cool. It just doesn’t strike me as something that would be in a church.

It’s in one of the oldest round churches in England. It’s in Cambridge and was built in 1130- Here’s a link- our little fella is on here too and you can see the arch he tops. http://www.druidic.org/camchurch/churches/camsepulch.htm
