Happy holiday Monday. We’re celebrating President’s Day today and first on my agenda is the coverage of the grey hairs on my head. I get one spot on the top of my head and the sides turn grey too fast as well. Men look distinguished with that touch of grey at the temple, I don’t, so I cover it. Yes, I refuse to go quietly. I think it would be different if I was going grey all over but those little touches just annoy me. They are all I see when I look in the mirror.
I’m also waiting for two set of edits to drop into my inbox- one from Desert Breeze Publishing and one from Secret Cravings Publishing. I got an email from one editor today that she’s almost done and that the story is pretty clean (this I like to hear). The other sent me an email last week that she expected to get them to me soon so I’m sure they will both come on the same day.
I finished the first draft of a story on Saturday. This was the story that never seemed to want to wrap up. And before you think it must be a long one, let me set you straight. It’s under 11,000 words. It just kicked my butt for some reason. I’ve been working on it off and on since December. I paper-edited 9,000 words last week and today’s goal is to add those edits on the computer and edit the other 2,000 and call it totally done.

I painted my skunk stripe myself this weekend. For today, I want to write a scene Bridget my muse has been chomping at the bit to write – my heroine is going to face a hard decision. Bring on the angst!!!

Skunk stripe, Arabella? I’ve never heard it called that, but, seeing as I’m growing out my color, I see the resemblance in my mirror. lol
As for goals, Jillian, I’m searching out kitchen sinks and faucets (ugh!) and editing today.

I go the opposite direction and highlight by foiling. Yep editing for me today too and unpacking, I’m thinking I’ll still be unpacking this time next year.
