Nope. it does look kiddish but it’s 4 mysteries written over the month of December with a prompt a day for 25 days. They are not kid stories. Mine is in there.
Mary Janice Davidson wrote a very amusing, but also quite adult, vampire series. The covers were drawn in a very circa late 1950s style of art, that the FBI found too cartoonish and accused her of pandering to children. They had to change the covers.
I want to read this myself, but my guess is that it is for your grandson.

Me, too. I love the cover but it doesn’t exactly speak to the demographic they are trying to reach as everyone thinks they are kid stories. LOL
