The only tim eI have ever seen the moss was when I was 14, and my brother was graduating Boot camp at Parris Island. I was enthalled by it, that, and the palmettos.
Where did the years go? The sight and feeling came rushing back.

I like to look at Spanish moss, but not get near it. LOL! Itchy, buggy, and funky. LOL – Had some friends at Parris Island back in the day!

I read the comments to find out this is Spanish Moss. Itchy, buggy, and
    funky? Ummm, no thank you!

Eww, I did not see the bugginess nor did I get itchy when I approached. My sister ran smack into an alligator and froze; our father backed her away slowly. I wanted to see it, but my mother hustled me away. LOL!

Eek on the gator. Could’ve been a whole different story there.

Lol. Yes. Atmospheric to view, not so much fun to touch.

My sister and parents were shaken, but my dad kept his head. Everyone was afraid but me, but then, I hadn’t see the gator!

There is something so eerie about trees and Spanish moss.

      Yes! Especially at night.
