Dining Out

Went out to eat at an awesome Turkish restaurant last night in Southwark. They had live music and tonight they will have belly dancers. Hate to miss that. Lol. It was a lovely place and the staff was quite friendly. I had a wonderful drink called an Alexsandrin Rasputin. Lots of fruits and a bit of Russian vodka. The meal was excellent. #1 son had lamb and #1 fiancé and I had chicken shish. I’m ashamed to say that #2 son and his father had Papa John’s pizza in the apartment.

Under the floor where we sat was Roman ruins. The floor was thick green glass and you could see the ruins under there. Wicked cool!

  1. That sounds awesome! So jealous 🙂

  2. Wicked cool, huh? I don’t think I’d heard that phrase before until we visited Bah Hahboh (Bar Harbor) this year. lol I hate to say it, but I’d be with son #2 and his father. I’m not very adventurous when it comes to food. Although that drink looks mighty yummy! 🙂
    Merry Christmas, Jillian!

    • Thanks Laurie. I’ve said wicked cool for years. The Maine folks got it from the British and I stole it long ago. Lol. Merry Christmas.

  3. I’m so jealous! I can’t wait to hear more about your travels. what an awesome Christmas gift you’re getting

    • Thanks Casey. I’ll be blogging my head off about it when I get back so you’ll be sick of me.

  4. I may have been with the pizza group but maybe not –that drinks looks mighty yummy. I’m not much of a drinker but love the exotic different drinks. A few years ago I discovered Chi’s Chi’s in Mexico and had to switch over to virgin ones. I liked them just too much.

Wishing you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and looking forward to 2012 blogs.

    • Thanks Lavada. This drink was very mild. Couldn’t even taste the vodka. Just tastes like a blend of juices. Lol about the Chi’s Chi’s. I hope you have a wonderful christmas as well.

  5. I know why you picked that drink LOL. It looks like a really fun place.

    • It was a toss up between that and a Moscow something with ale. But I did not pick of because of you know who. It sounded tasty. Lol
