My travels are over. I’m home from a super awesome weekend away with girlfriends. We didn’t want it to end, but reality slammed back in and we all had to disburse. All in all, it was a grand time. The drive home was long since I didn’t get much sleep all weekend. Driving with your eyes crossed is a little difficult. Had to stop for caffeine twice.
No rest today as have teeth cleaning appointment and then off to office to get some legal stuff done. I have a busy next two weekends as well, so it’s going to be a challenge not to collapse at some point.
My mother always says when she’s tired that her tail feathers are dragging. Mine are so far on the ground, they are skirting the top of Satan’s roof. So, if you see me, please don’t step on my tail feathers.
Leaving you with a picture I took for my friend, Sandy who has a hate/hate relationship with limecello. Since she wasn’t with me on this trip, I drank a limecello and raspberry martini in her honor. She was duly grateful that it was me drinking it and not her.
What a great way to start a couple of busy weeks, though. Yes, your tired. But you had a great weekend. Hopefully that will carry you for a few days. Or, at least, another few hours until you can sleep some more. Survive the day!

Amen, Laurie. I really did have a wonderful time and these friends are always, always, always a tonic for my soul. Kind of like many readers of this blog, including you! No negativity was exactly what I needed.
Thanks for the good wishes for survival. You’re up early!

Too early. It was one of those nights I woke up with a scene in my head and had to get it down on paper. We writers are a weird lot, aren’t we?

There’s a good tired and a bad tired. I’d say this weekend is a rejuvenating ‘tired’ or will be as soon as you get a little sleep. You lead a good life and I’m so happy to share it a little with you.

Glad you are home and had a good time. Take power naps when you can! We’ll pitch together Saturday, and maybe you can get out early to go to catch a nap. Be careful on the road!

Thanks, Kate. Early home would be super. LOL! I love naps- don’t get to take them much, though.
