Hobbes! I need help. Just had to toss Dude out on his keester because he picked a fight with Mia. I KNOW Mia has cut into Dude’s domain, but geesh. It’s been a couple months. Will this ever stop??? Want to come out here and mediate? 🙂

Rut Roh. My pal Dude has the right to be disgruntled but it’s time to play nice with the female feline. Tell him I said to straighten up. I can’t mediate because I’m likely to be drawn into the fray myself. There’s this big-headed cat here who comes in my yard and makes me have to growl so I’d probably do the same out there. And I’d be worried someone would get more food than me. Sorry I can’t be of more assistance. Hobbes

And besides, it’s pretty cozy under this fur (fake of course- we couldn’t have real, could we?) throw. It’s too much effort to get up. H.

I know, I know. It was a long shot that you could get them to behave. And they really are okay about 70% of the time. Last night, I was on the phone with my daughter when these two cats went at it. By the time I was done splitting them up and tossing Dude outside, my daughter was laughing so hard she about peed her pants. Said “It’s just like you’ve got kids, Mom.” Hmpf!

Now, I think she’s right. Some cats do act like children. Me, never. 😉 At least 70% of the time they are “being have” as Mr. C says. I am not sure what “have” is as I’ve heard of behaving but not being have. He’s an odd man. Hobbe

During our recent, short-lived ‘blizzard’, all four of mine found every cozy spot in the house, every sofa, every throw. If anyone got up from a chair or bed, at least one claimed the warm spot, even though we kept the thermostat high, in case we lost power. Hobbes has his cat-senses intact!
