It’s my Father-in-law. He was actually older than my grandfather. 🙂 This is him in the 1930s.

We have age disparagement between my family and my in-laws, but the other way around, as my family generally ran much older. I would have guessed the 1920s-30s. Wonderful!

My husband was born when his parents were 45 and 48. My father wasn’t born yet when this pic of my FIL was taken. LOL. One of my husband’s sisters married the year I was born and one the year I turned one. The year I turned 50 was the big party celebrating my sister in law and brother in law’s 50th anniversary. It hit home then that they really were almost my parent’s ages.

We have pretty much the same deal here.My mother’s father didn’t marry until he was 45; my grandmother was a widow in her early 30s, who had 3 sons, (twin daughters had died). They had 7 children together, the last were another set of twins who were born when she was 47 and he was 61. (My mother was 4-5 years older and they were more than a surprise.) My oldest cousin has two sons older than I am.

Sounds very familiar. My husband was an uncle before he was born. It’s interesting, isn’t it? How many people had children late in life- when now people tend to worry a lot more about pregnancies over 35.
