This weekend is a blog hop for the Sweet Cravings and Secret Cravings Publishing authors here (or click the picture above). I have two contemporary romances with them. Surf Break is a story set on the beach in my hometown and Venetian Masks is a novel set in Venice, Italy and Bangkok Thailand. My page at Sweet Cravings is here.

Surfing seems to be a theme with me since I have three stories where the heroine is a surfer. For a chance to win an e-copy of Surf Break, tell me what your favorite water sport is and why. It can even just be lounging by the pool with an umbrella drink because that is fun, isn’t it?

I also seem to like Italy since I have two books based in that lovely country. For a chance to win a ceramic Italian dip bowl and dipper, let me know, if you could spend a weekend anywhere in Italy where you would go and with whom.

I’ll draw the two winners on Monday, May 20th at 8 am Central. Check back to see if you won. Good luck!

I also will donate all proceeds of sales of my books this weekend at my publisher’s site to my local animal shelter in honor of my own shelter cat, Hobbes.innocnet

  1. 🙂 I am not entering for a prize as I live in the UK, but so like how you are supporting your local animal shelter.
Have a great and successful hop.

  2. I would love the chance to go to Italy! I’d go with my sister, who toured it in 1989, and can take me to her favorite spots. I don’t do well in strange cities, and prefer to go with someone who’s already been there. If my sis can’t go, then I’d take my soul mate.

Whereabouts in Italy? I’d start in Rome….and forget the weekend! If I’m going there, I’ll spend several weeks, and cover Venice, Florence, and other places.

    • I’m with you, Kenzie. I’d want to stay more than a weekend. Next time I go, I want to head to lake como and around that area.

  3. I love Venice. I’d go back!
How cool to help the animal shelter.
    You go, girl!

  4. Favourite water sport would be swimming around a pool bar, having a drink, and finally pulling myself out the water to doze! I’m UK so not sure if Im eligible to enter. Congrats on the books Jillian.

    • Yes, Manda, you are eligible. And your water sport sounds great.

  5. Swimming and boating are my favorite water sports. If I could go to Italy I would go to Rome with my hubby.

  8. I would, like to visit the out of place towns, to look around in the shops, talk with the town folks. Take my grand daughter with me..

  9. I wanted to go to Italy for my honeymoon 5 years ago but instead went to Jamaica. I wanted to visit Venice and Rome.

    • Jamaica is lovely, too Susan. I hope you get that Italian trip someday.

  10. My favorite water sport is just swimming. I’ve always thought I’m part fish!

Love the covers! Exciting reads too!

    • Swimming is great fun, Melissa. Thanks re: covers and being excited.

  11. Favorite water sport-well when my wife was alive we used to love to have sex in the shower. Does that count.

  12. Hello,
I would go to Italy with my husband. I’d like to return to Palermo. It has a lovely old world charm, but since it is basically Black Hand headquarters I would need an invite first.

My favorite water sport is floating. Yep, one of those floating chair things, with a cold drink and a hot book. Tried surfing, never got past kneeling on the board. I considered that an accomplishment.

    • Sounds great, Morgan. I’ve not been to Palermo. Would love to.

And floating is great. I love that too. Kneeling on a surfboard is also wonderful. They’re tricky things.

  13. Hi! Your book sounds great! I dont really like any water sports. Im more of a sit with a book and enjoy while everyone else swims. lol 🙂 Thanks for taking part in the hop! Its great!

  15. Would love to go to Italy. If DH couldn’t go, I’d love to go with one, two or three of my heroes from my books. Silly me. Love your donation to the shelter! Fabulous idea. Great post,

    • Ahhh, Jean. I hope you get to go either with your hubs or your heroes. What a trip that would be.

Thanks re: donations. They took good care of my kitty when he was an orphan.

  16. I live near the beach in NC and I love to go early to watch the surfers. I rarely go in the water. My favorite water sports would be feeding the turtles/geese/fish/swans or sailing little remote control boats with my hubby.

    • That sounds like a lot of fun, Catherine. That’s a real pleasure.

  17. My favorite water sport is dragon boating. My husband and I started shortly after we got married. It’s so much fun!
